Williams Eliminated in a Massive Pot

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
David Williams
David Williams

Under the gun opened the action and got a call from Anatoliy Zlotnikov in the cutoff. Jorge De Oliveira on the button three-bet to 13,800, which David Williams, who started the hand with a stack of well over 150,000 chips, cold-called in the big blind. Under the gun also called, as did Zlotnikov.

The flop was 972. Williams was first to act and bet 40,000 and under the gun folded. Zlotnikov raised pot and De Oliveira folded. Williams and Zlotnikov then quickly pushed the rest of their chips in the middle to ensure an all-in and Williams was the one at risk.

Anatoliy Zlotnikov: 10986

Williams had the overpair of kings and the king-high flush draw, while Zlotnikov flopped a pair of nines, a lower flush draw and the wrap.

The turn was the 5, bringing in one of Zlotnikov‘s straight outs.

Williams was still drawing to the flush, but the river was a brick 2 and Zlotnikov took down a massive pot, while Williams was eliminated.
