Pan Chipping Up
Qinghai Pan started the day with around 80,000 chips, but has managed to climb up to one of the healthier stacks with 600,000.
In a hand he played against Stuart McHenry in the small blind, Pan threw a continuation bet on the flop of 8♦9♣9♥. McHenry called.
The turn was the 10♦. McHenry checked, Pan bet again and got called.
The river was the K♠ and the betting sequence was repeated once again. McHenry checked and then called Pan’s bet. Pan turned over A♦9♠ for flopped trips, and McHenry’s Jx10x hit the muck.
Two hands later, Pan opened from middle position and got three-bet by Christopher Bartley in the hijack. Pan called.
The flop was Q♠J♥5♣. Pan checked and called Bartley’s bet.
The turn A♦ was checked around.
On the river 8♥, Pan put in a bet and got a fold from Bartley.
