Day 1 Highlights

Defending champion Shaun Deeb got off to a hot start today, finding himself at the top of the counts during the early levels. Deeb’s momentum slowed during the second half of the day before Dylan Weisman eliminated him in a hand of Pot-Limit Omaha.

Online legend Viktor Blom was under the radar early in the day before picking up steam in the later levels after turning a straight to double up. Blom was able to keep the momentum going all the way until the end of the night where he finished strong with 246,600.

Other notables to finish the night with chips include Scott Seiver (253,700), Robert Slezak (171,000), Weisman (118,300), John Cernuto (110,000) and Josh Arieh (93,500).

Some players who were not as fortunate and busted before the end of the night include Phil Hellmuth, Ben Yu, Chino Rheem, Norman Chad, Matt Glantz and Frankie O'Dell.

The remaining 103 players return Monday, July 8, at noon local time for Day 2, which will play ten hour-long levels.
