Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2024 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.

Today sees the start of Event #82: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout here at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. The two-day event gets underway at 7 p.m. local time with late registration open for 10 levels (until about 12:45 a.m.). This event is a freezeout so reentries are prohibited. There will be 15-minute breaks after Levels 4, 7, 10 and 14 and all levels are 30 minutes long.

The starting stack is 20,000 chips, with the plan for Day 1 to play down to 15 percent of the field. For the surviving players, Day 2 resumes at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, and plays down to a winner.

This is a new event for the 2024 WSOP.
