Capps Calls Correctly to Send Rail into a Frenzy

Jesse Capps opened to 425,000 and Shundan Xiao defended her big blind.

Xiao led out for 400,000 on the 3♠7♠5♦ flop and Capps called.

Both players checked on the 8♠ river and then Xiao put 800,000 into the middle after the 7♣ completed the board.

Capps went deep into the tank, but eventually tossed calling chips in Xiao's direction.

Xiao could only show K♣9♦ and Capps triumphantly slammed A♣10♠ down to claim the pot with just an ace-kicker — sending Capps rail into celebration with chants of "Quack! Quack! Quack" as he collected the pot.

Daniel Erlandsson raised to 400,000 in the cutoff before Randy Gattesco moved all in for 3,500,000 on the button. Erlandsson asked for a count and tanked for a minute before folding as Gattesco showed him 8♦8♥.

The next hand, Hiroki Nawa raised to 400,000 under the gun and Gattesco shoved again, this time making it 4,200,000 from the cutoff. Nawa quickly folded and Gattesco flashed J♥J♠.

Sagle checked on the flop of A♦10♥J♥ and Griff continued for 300,000. Sagle called. Sagle checked again on the 2♦ turn and Griff sized up to 500,000 Sagle folded.

It was the proper fold as Griff showed K♥Q♥ for a flopped Broadway straight.

Naor Slobodskoy limped in from the small blind and Aliaksandr Shylko checked his option from the big blind.

On the monotone 9♣3♣7♣ flop, Slobodskoy bet 200,000 and Shylko called.

They saw an A♣ on the turn which was checked through to the 5♠ river. Slobodskoy bet 650,000 and Shylko raised to 1,700,000. After a long time thinking, Slobodskoy eventually laid it down.

Stephen Song defended from the big blind with K♣8♣ after Kristen Foxen on the button opened to 400,000 with A♣2♠.

Foxen bet 300,000 on the J♥5♦K♦ flop and Song check-called, then Foxen fired a second barrel of 900,000 on the 3♠ turn. Song check-called again.

The 2♥ landed on the felt and after Song checked, Foxen bet more than Song's stack. In a tough spot for his tournament life, Song went deep into the tank, but after a few minutes, he chose to fold what was the best hand.

Erlandsson Drills the Turn to Double Through Gattesco

Daniel Erlandsson opened to 400,000 from middle position and was called by Randy Gattesco from directly behind.

Erlandsson continued for 600,000 on the 9♥3♦K♣ flop and Gattesco shoved to put Erlandsson all in for approximately 3,800,000 total. Erlandsson called and hands were revealed.

Both players had paired their king on the flop, but Gattesco was way ahead with his ace-kicker.

However, the Q♠ turn improved Erlandsson to two pair, which got a collective gasp from the table.

The 2♠ river changed nothing and Erlandsson took the majority of Gattesco's chips on the last hand of the evening.

Moroz Busts Caldas on the Last Hand

On the final hand of Day 6, Yegor Moroz raised to 400,000 under the gun and Carlos Caldas called in the big blind.

The flop came 7♠4♦3♦ and Moroz bet 500,000. Caldas then moved all in for 2,800,000 and Moroz snap-called.

Players from the surrounding tables began gathering around as Caldas showed top pair, but he was behind Moroz's pair of tens. The A♥ fell on the turn, while the river was the K♦ and Moroz ran into the arms of his exuberant rail while Caldas went around the table shaking the hands of his tablemates before heading for the payout desk.
