Lonis Shows Bluff After Taking Big Pot From Lybaert

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jesse Lonis
Jesse Lonis

Bart Lybaert opened to 16,000 from the hijack. Asko Muratovic called in the small blind. Jesse Lonis was in the big blind and three-bet to 98,000. Lybaert called and Muratovic got out of the way.

The flop came 9610. Lonis continued for 133,000, Lybaert raised to 283,000. Lonis took his time to think as a crowd started to gather around to watch the hand unfold as Lonis then put in a three-bet to 450,000. Lybaert took about a minute before he called to swell the pot to well over a million.

The turn came 6. Lonis moved all in. The many cameras around filmed as Lybaert went into the tank. After about 90 seconds he folded.

Lonis tabled the A5 to show everyone the bluff as he raked in the massive early pot.

Warburton Makes Two Pair

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With around 35,000 chips in the pot on a board of 5943, Steven Warburton fired a bet of 20,000, which Christoper Cella called.

On the K river, Warburton opted to check which prompted Cella to make a bet of 55,000. Warburton thought it over but decided on a call.

Cella tabled A10 for a busted flush draw and Warburton flipped K5 for two pair, which earned him the pot.

Budwey Salhab Eliminated by Edward Pak on WSOP Main Event Soft Bubble
Budwey Salhab Eliminated by Edward Pak on WSOP Main Event Soft Bubble

Budwey Salhab raised to 16,000 under the gun and was three-bet by Edward Pak in middle position to 48,000. Salhab called and check-called Pak's continuation-bet of 65,000 on the 109Q flop.

The turn came the J, on which Pak upped the ante to 175,000. Salhab then moved in for 341,000, sending Pak into the tank. He asked for a count and tossed in a call after some more thought.

Budwey Salhab: AK All in
Edward Pak: JJ

Salhab was ahead with his straight and nut flush draw, but the J river brought a fourth jack for Pak to win the pot and bust out Salhab.

"Fuck you, dude," an obviously unhappy Salhab said to Pak. "That was the worst call in history."

"I had a straight flush draw," Pak defended himself as he raked in the pot.

Larry Hirschfield checked from under the gun and Yan Neiman fired a bet of 75,000 out for Hirschfield to call.

Keating Fills Up to Put a Bad Beat on Templeton

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

In a blind versus blind battle, John Templeton got his last 260,000 in the middle as Alex Keating put him at risk.

John Templeton: AJ All in
Alex Keating: A2

Templeton had Keating dominated and was poised for a bubble double-up as the flop came 103A, giving both players top pair. Templeton was still ahead with his jack-kicker, but Keating spiked the 2 on the turn to take the lead. The river was the 2 and Keating improved to a full house as the unfortunate Templeton stopped to snap a photo of the board before heading for the rail.

"I think we all learned not to f**k with me on the bubble," Keating said.

Nagami Doubles With Fours Full

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Kyosuke Nagami opened to 16,000 in the cutoff and Keith Lehr three-bet to 100,000 in the big blind. Nagami called.

Lehr quickly bet around 400,000 on the flop of 584 and Nagami went deep in the tank for several minutes as he considered calling off with his remaining stack of around 110,000.

"Save your money," Lehr told Nagami before he made the call.

Keith Lehr: 66

Nagami was ahead with kings and dodged his opponent's straight outs as the board finished out 44 to improve him to fours full of kings for a crucial double.

"I didn't know you had that good a hand," said Lehr. "I thought he had ace-king."
