Danny Tang
Danny Tang

The action was picked up on a turn of 632K. The player in the big blind had put in 30,000 chips in a pot of 45,000, which Tang raised to 95,000.

The big blind then shoved all in for 168,400. Tang asked for a count and thought for a few minutes before calling it off.

Big blind: KQ All in
Danny Tang: AA

"I wasn't trying to slowroll you," Tang apologized after seeing the cards. Meanwhile, the 9 river could not save the big blind as he exited from the Main Event.

Atkinson's Aces Down Kwatra's Ladies

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Joshua Atkinson
Joshua Atkinson

Josh Atkinson raised to 9,000 from early position and Anuj Kwatra called next to act. Jesse Capps, who won his way into the 2024 WSOP Main Event by winning a Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) tournament earlier this year, came along from the cutoff and the player on the button called as well.

Both blinds folded and it was four-way action to a flop of 8108. Atkinson checked, Kwatra bet 15,000, and both Capps and the button folded. Atkinson then grabbed a stack of green T25,000 chips and put them into the middle. Kwatra had 99,000 behind and thought long and hard before calling off.

Anuj Kwatra: QQ All in
Josh Atkinson: AA

Kwatra was behind with pocket queens and watched helplessly as the 7 appeared on the turn followed by the J on the river.

2021 Champ Aldemir Scoops a Massive Pot

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Koray Aldemir
Koray Aldemir

On the PokerGO feature table, Koray Aldemir, the 2021 WSOP Main Event winner, raised on the button to 8,000 with 54 before Dan Grolemund three-bet to 26,000 in the small blind with AQ.

After the world champ made the call, the flop came out 4Q5, a bit of a cooler. Grolemund led for 33,000 and received a call. When the 2 appeared on the turn, Grolemund this time opted for a check with top pair.

Aldemir, holding two pair, bet 62,000, about half the size of the pot. Grolemund then went for a check-raise all in for 222,000 total. That put Aldemir into a brief tank before calling the bet. Grolemund had picked up a gutshot straight draw on the turn as an extra four outs, but the 6 on the river sent the past champion a monster pot of 570,000, and sent Grolemund home on Day 3.

Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

Christoph Vogelsang was heads-up from the big blind against the player in the hijack on a A46 flop.

Vogelsang check-called a 7,000 bet from his opponent on the flop and then both players checked on the 3 turn.

The 9 completed the board and Vogelsang checked again, prompting a 30,000 bet from his opponent. Vogelsang paused for a minute and then raised to 95,000, which his opponent called after a bit of thought.

Vogelsang tabled A7 for the nut flush and his opponent sent his hand into the muck.

Danny Tang
Danny Tang

Danny Tang raised from under the gun to 11,000, receiving a call from the cutoff. The button moved all in for approximately 71,000. Tang moved all in to put the cutoff at risk for their effective stack and the cutoff made the call.

Button: QQ All in
Cutoff: 1010 All in
Danny Tang: KK

The flop landed 8Q4 putting the button in the lead with a set of queens, however, Tang had extra outs to a flush to take the pot. The K peeled on the turn and Tang made a superior set. The 5 river saw Tang best both his opponents, sending each of them to the rail.

With less than 100 players to go before the money would be reached, Noah Boeken three-bet a raise of 12,000 from the player under the gun to 40,000 in the small blind.

His opponent called and also called when the 2104 saw Boeken bet 31,000 chips. Boeken then sized up to 68,000 on the 5 turn and was called again.

Finally, Boeken fired 117,000 on the J river and was looked up for the last time. Boeken showed AA for a pair of aces, and his opponent flung his cards into the muck.

Two Pair Over Two Pair Sends Vogelsang Out

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Christoph Vogelsang and Damian Elias were heads-up blind-versus-blind on a flop of Q83.

Elias checked from the small blind and Vogelsang bet 31,000. Elias then check-raised to 135,000 and Vogelsang went deep into the tank. The clock was eventually called and Vogelsang called with about five seconds left to act.

The 4 fell on the turn and Elias quickly announced he was all in, which was enough to put Vogelsang all in for his last 125,000.

Vogelsang again tanked long enough for the clock to be called. Vogelsang committed the rest of his chips with one second left to act.

Christoph Vogelsang: 83All in
Damian Elias: Q8

The river bricked out and Vogelsang wished his tablemates good luck as he exited the tournament area.
