Mixson Wins Huge Pot Without Showdown

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

A player in the hijack opened to 1,200 and was called by a player in the cutoff before Cameron Mixson three-bet to 4,500 from the button. The hijack called before the cutoff four-bet to 20,000. Both Mixson and the hijack called creating a pot worth just over 60,000 going to the flop.

On the 872 flop action checked around to Mixson who shoved for a bit over 60,000. The hijack quickly folded and after taking a couple minutes to consider his options the cutoff folded as well.

Mixson revealed he had JJ for an overpair before dragging in the massive pot without showdown.

Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton

The action was caught as the pot stood at approximately 6,000 with two players looking at a full board of 5Q8KJ.

The big blind checked and Isaac Haxton, in the cutoff, bet a sizeable wager of 9,600, sending the big blind into the tank.

The big blind verbalised their thought process as they tanked, implying they knew he was either way ahead or way behind, eventually deciding to fold. The big blind mucked the 6 face up, conceding the pot to Haxton.

Haxton rechecked his cards and then tabled the 10, showing the big blind that they were beaten.
