Life Outside Poker w/ Connor Richards is a new podcast for PokerNews that focuses on poker players with successful careers and lives outside of poker.

For the first episode, Connor Richards spoke with soap opera actress and high-stakes poker player Farah Fath Galfond, who talked about her acting career spanning more than a decade, first discovering poker in Atlantic City and balancing poker with raising a family.

Preflop action was filled with limps as under the gun, middle position, late position all limped. Todd Rodenborn also limped in the cutoff before the button squeezed to 7,500. The blinds folded and all four limpers called.

The flop fell 7♣6♠Q♠ and action checked to the button who continued betting for 14,400. Under the gun, middle position, and late position all folded, but Rodenborn called.

Both players checked the turn J♥

The river came A♠ and Rodenborn checked to the button who made it 25,400. Rodenborn pondered his options before calling and showing his K♣2♣J♠8♠ for a flush. His opponent mucked his cards and Rodenborn dragged in the pot.

Terry Woodruff opened 3,000 in the hijack, the button called, Jeremy Ausmus called in the small blind, and Todd Rodenborn came along in the big blind.

When the A♥8♥8♣ flop hit the felt, Rodenborn check-called a bet of 10,000 from Woodruff, while the button and Ausmus quickly got out of the way.

The 5♣ hit the turn, and Rodenborn checked to Woodruff who fired another bet of 20,000. Rodenborn snap-called.

When the 2♠ completed the board on the river, both players tapped the table. Rodenborn rolled over Q♠8♦7♠6♠ fot trip eights, and Woodruff mucked his hand.

In a heads-up pot on a flop of 10♠6♦A♦, Joao Simao bet 6,000 and Kamel Mokhammad raised to 16,500. Simao called.

Mokhammad then bet 43,800 on the 5♣ turn and Simao called off with less.

Kamel Mokhammad: A♥K♦Q♦10♣

Mokhammad was ahead with two pair and the 8♥ river bricked off to confirm the Brazilian's elimination.

The flop came 3♣9♣4♦ and both players checked.

On the turn 8♥ Sitbon led for 5,000 and his opponent called.

Sitbon led the river K♦ for 6,000 and his opponent raised to 20,000 after about 20 seconds. Sitbon stared down his opponent, checked his own hand again, and flicked in a call. The middle position player said, "You're good."

Sitbon showed 8♦6♦5♣3♦ for two pair and scooped the pot.
