One of the big stories at the end of the night is that 2004 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion Greg Raymer (8,100,000) is still in the field. He was the beneficiary of pocket aces before the first break of the day that helped him navigate his way to Day 3.

Also still in the field are $25K Fantasy players Matt Glantz (12,825,000) and Ari Engel (4,400,000). Glantz got off to a hot start on Day 2 when he was able to win a huge three-way all in with pocket kings against his opponents' pocket jacks and ace-queen. Engel found momentum early on Day 2 as well when his pocket queens won the race against the ace-king of his opponent.

Day 2 of the Colossus had some incredible hands that shocked the Horseshoe Ballroom. First when Max Kruse flopped a royal flush against Daniele Nestola who rivered quad kings. Later in the night, Joshua Hatfield rivered quad eights against his opponent's turned set of aces.

Another major story throughout Day 2 was that Barstool Sports personality Ben Mintz made it all the way until the final hand of the night before busting right before players bagged when his ace-queen ran into pocket queens. Other notable players who busted during Day 2 include Kane Kalas, David "ODB" Baker, Craig Chait, and Steven Wolansky.

Action is set to resume at 12 p.m. local time on July 2, with the expectation of playing to a winner. The players will resume play at Level 33 in the 200,000/400,000/400,000 blind level. They will play 40-minute levels with a 15-minute break after every three levels.

Stay tuned into PokerNews for live coverage and updates throughout the day until we crown a champion.

Raymer and Engel Face Off on Penultimate Hand of the Night

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Greg Raymer raised to 600,000 from the cutoff, Ari Engel three-bet to 1,850,000 from the button and Raymer called.

The 4AK flop checked through to the 5 on the turn. Raymer check-called a bet of 600,000 from Engel.

The 9 river slowly checked to a showdown.

"Ace," announced Raymer as he tabled AJ; good enough to send Engel's cards into the muck.

Powell Rakes in a Big Pot

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

There were around 5,000,000 chips in the pot on a board of 910J84 and Caleb Powell had fired 1,600,000 on the river. Jennifer Depolo had the decision and after thinking it over, she made her decision and folded K3 face up.

"I missed a bet, I should have shoved the turn," said Depolo to Powell.
