Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2024 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.
Today sees the start of Event #7: $1,500 Dealer's Choice (6-Handed) here at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas.
This three-day event gets underway at 2 p.m. local time with late registration open for 9 levels. There will be 15-minute breaks every three levels, with no dinner break scheduled on Day 1.
The starting stack is 25,000 chips with the plan for Day 1 to play 15 levels. Day 2 resumes at 1 p.m. where levels increase to 60 minutes.
Last year's event saw 456 players generate a prize pool of $608,760. The winner was Chad Eveslage who defeated Andrew Kelsall heads-up to win $131,879 to win his second WSOP bracelet — and first of two in 2023!
"The mixed atmosphere is much, much more laid back. We were joking around heads up," he told PokerNews. "It's nice, you know ... I imagine it never gets old winning a World Series of Poker bracelet."
