Niall Farrell 'Firaldo'
Niall Farrell 'Firaldo'

The under-the-gun player opened the action with a raise before Niall Farrell three-bet to 1,100 from the hijack. The original raiser was the only caller.

On the 543 flop, Farrell continued for 2,000 and was met with a check-raise to 6,500. The Scotsman called.

Farrell's opponent fired out 8,000 on the 5 turn and went into the tank when Farrell jammed for 25,600. After agonizing over the decision, the under-the-gun player called as the slightly bigger stack.

Niall Farrell: AAAll in
Under-the-Gun: AJ

Farrell was ahead with aces but needed to dodge a spade, while a deuce would chop up the pot.

The board completed with the 10 and Farrell scooped an early double.

Elsewhere in the room, his compatriot Dean Hutchison took his seat. Hutchison finished sixth in last year's Main Event, which netted him a $1,850,000 payday.
