Sammartino Leaves Williams Short

A few hands after losing a sizable pot to Jon Kyte in Stud Hi-Lo, David Williams raised on the button and was called by Dario Sammartino in the big blind.

Sammartino check-raised a bet from Williams on the A94 flop and Williams called.

Williams then called bets from Sammartino on the J turn and 8 river and Sammartino announced, "Ace-nine," as he tabled A954 as advertised.

Williams showed he held Ax8x2x and mucked — awarding the pot to Sammartino and slipping to under a million in chips.

The K fell on the turn and it was checked to Ottenio again. He bet but then Kyte check-raised. Sammartino quickly folded and Ottenio followed suit after tanking for a bit to send the pot Kyte's direction.

"My Friend, It Is Time"

Jon Kyte raised in the hijack and on the button, Dario Sammartino three-bet which only Kyte called.

"My friend," Sammartino declared "It is time."

The flop rolled out 74J and Kyte checked over to Sammartino who bet and Kyte raised.

"You never believe me, always check-raising," Sammartino said putting in the call. He then continued to hum.

Kyte bet the Q turn and Sammartino called.

On the river Q, Kyte checked over to Sammartino who bet.

"This is so disgusting," said Kyte as he called.

"Ace-queen!" shouted Sammartino as he tabled AQ22 for three queens and an ace, which was good for the pot as Kyte flashed A732 before mucking.
