Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2024 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.

Today sees the start of Event #60: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em here at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.

This four-day event gets underway at 12 p.m. local time with late registration open through the end of Level 12, which is on Day 2. There will be 20-minute breaks every two levels, with a 75-minute dinner break at the end of Level 6 (~6:40 p.m.)

The starting stack is 40,000 chips with the plan for Day 1 to play ten 60-minute levels. For the surviving players, Day 2 resumes at 12 p.m. Tuesday and plays another 10 levels. Day 3 plays down to the final five players and then a winner will be crowned the following day.

Last year’s event saw a field of 1,735 entries generating a prize pool of $4,632,450. The winner was Yang Zhang who defeated Aram Oganyan heads up to win $717,879 and his first WSOP bracelet.

"I think it's a milestone of my poker life." Zhang told PokerNews. "It's kind of a great achievement for me."
