Eminoglu Show the Bluff to Wake Up the Table

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Action was caught on the flop with the board 8Q68. Eminoglu was in the cutoff and pushed forward a pile of pink chips, worth 5,000 each. Before the dealer could count out the stack, his opponent folded.

Eminoglu, who says he is well known as the ‘Mad Turk’ in the poker world, turned over 34 for complete air. He first said, that he is showing the bluff because it is the end of the night. Despite the fact there was still over an hour to play, he said he is done. And then he raised the next hand. He still had explanation for this, namely that you still have to play your button.

The table was taking his antics in good fun and then told PokerNews he is just trying to help out, to wake up the table.

Mark Marshall opened the action from the cutoff and Mark Williams went all in from the big blind. Marshall called and was at risk.

Mark Marshall: QQAll in

It was a classic flip and the flop 6K9 went Williams’s way. The turn 9 was of no help to Marshall, neither was the river, and he was eliminated.

Thomas’s Lucky Table

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Tom Thomas arrived at his table with a very short stack, but was able to make it work for him quickly, with two double ups within just a few hands.

On the first hand, he got it in preflop against Dana Johnson.

Tom Thomas: KxKxAll in
Dana Johnson: AxQx

The board QJ849 gave Johnson a pair of queens, but nothing more, and Thomas doubled up.

Just a couple of hands later, Thomas was again all in preflop, this time against Lisa Xie.

Tom Thomas: QQAll in
Lisa Xie: JJ

While some at the table were openly rooting for Xie’s jack, the board ran out 534108 and Xie lost a big chunk of her stack, while Thomas got to double up again.
