Harrington Defends His Blinds
Poker legend Dan Harrington is still in the field with a decent amount of chips. He successfully defended his big and small blind in back to back hands.
In the first hand, he was facing a bet of 7,000 chips on the flop of 2♦7♥5♦ and called in the big blind.
The turn was the 4♥ and Harrington now led for 11,000. His opponent in early position called.
The river was the 3♥, bringing in more straights as well as a backdoor flush. Harrington fired 30,000. This got a fold from his opponent.
The next hand, Harrington went to the flop of 2♠5♦2♦ three-way with players in the big blind and under the gun.
The under-the-gun player bet 15,000 and Harrington called. The big blind folded.
The turn 7♠ got checked around.
The river came the 9♦ and Harrington bet 20,000 and got another fold on a low coordinated board to chip up some more.
