Omaha Hi-Lo
Maxx Coleman opened on the button, receiving calls from both Talal Shakerchi in the small blind as well as Brian Rast in the big blind.
Coleman bet after action checked to him on the Q♥5♥6♣ flop. Shakerchi and Rast both came along to see a turn.
The turn came 9♣. Shakerchi checked for a second time but Rast took the opportunity to bet out. Coleman put in a raise, which was enough to convince Shakerchi to vacate the hand. Rast, however, made the call.
Rast called another bet from Coleman after the 8♠ river. Coleman tabled A♥8♦7♣2♦ for the straight and eight low to scoop Rast, leaving the defending champion short about midway through Day 1.
