Picking up the action partway through the hand, Sam Litman in the big blind was all in and at risk against a player in early position.
Sam Litman: A♦A♥
Early Position Player: A♠K♣
Litman had found a perfect setup in the big blind to put himself in a commanding position looking for a double up. The board ran out K♥6♦2♠4♥7♦ to keep the aces best and hand Litman a large pot just before the dinner break.
Soner 'Sonny' Osman is having a great summer. After placing 5th in the $1,500 Razz earlier this series he's in the Super Turbo Bounty.
Action picked up when the under the gun player went all in with a short stack and Osman three-bet shoved to clear the field and bring the two players heads-up.
Under The Gun K♠2♥
Sonny Osman: A♥K♣
The board ran out J♥A♦7♠J♣8♠ and Osman collected his chips and bounty.
A player opened to 32,000 from under the gun and was called by a player on the button. Kevin Eyster then moved all in out of the small blind, getting calls from both of his opponents. The under the gun player covered both of his opponents while Eyster covered the button.
Button Player: K♣Q♣
Kevin Eyster: A♥K♠
Under the Gun Player: K♥4♥
Eyster had both of his opponents dominated, that is until the flop came 4♣5♥9♥. The Q♦ turn switched things up again, with the button player taking the lead. Eyster was already getting up and bemoaning his poor fortune prior to the river but the A♠ rolled off the deck to hand him a large pot courtesy of the rivered ace.
Tomas Trampota and Dinesh Alt battled fiercely until the end. A few hands earlier, Alt had already lost a huge pot to Trampota but managed a double-up with a forced all-in when he was in the big blind.
He found himself against Trampota again when he was in the small blind.
Trampota raised to 32,000 from the button, and Alt three-bet to 48,000, leaving himself just 6,000 behind. Trampota raised again, forcing Alt all in, and Alt called.
Dinesh Alt: K♥Q♥
Tomas Trampota: 10♠8♣
The 2♣2♠5♣ flop seemed promising for Alt, but the turn brought the 8♠ for Trampota, and the J♠ on the river didn't change the outcome. Alt was eliminated but managed to collect six bounties over the course of the day.
After a preflop betting war, Andrew Dubuque and another player got all of the chips into the middle in a big pot, with Dubuque at risk.
Andrew Dubuque: J♥J♦
Player 1: A♣K♦
Dubuque was ahead going into this fight, and the flop was rather nice for him as it came out J♣9♠10♣ for top set of jacks. He still needed to fade the queen for a straight, but the runout of 3♥6♠ was safe and he scored the big pot for a double.
A very complicated pot was brewing when the player in the small blind was all in following an 82,000 open from the button. Action was on the big blind who tanked for a while before folding.
The player in middle position then called the floor over and asked for a ruling before they acted regarding whether Danny Won or the player on the button are allowed to re-raise if middle position calls the bet. The floor did the math and ruled that no they cannot, without giving an amount (as per TDA rules).
With the ruling in place the middle position player made the call of the 110,000. Danny Won and the player on the button also made the call and they were three-ways to a flop, betting into a side pot.
The flop came out 10♣5♠8♥ and when checked to Won went all in for his remaining 30,000 stack. The player on the button then three-bet to over 100,000 and the third player folded.
Danny Won: 10♦9♦
Small Blind: K♥K♦
Button: XxXx
The dealer completed the board with 3♣9♣ and the player on the button mucked his hand. Won made two pair on the river and scooped a massive pot as well as the small blind's bounty.
Fausto Tantillo opened to 32,000 from middle position and action folded around to Ivan Ermin in the big blind who three-beet to 75,000, leaving himself just a few chips behind. Tantillo moved all in with Ermin quickly calling off for his tournament life.
Ivan Ermin: 7♠7♣
Fausto Tantillo: A♣10♥
It was a flip but one that Ermin won after the board ran out Q♠2♦9♦Q♣2♠ to secure the at risk player a full double.
"Look, I have 7,000 left but I can still win a bounty!" Will Nguyen Said to PokerNews as he gestured to another player who only had 4,000 left.
Sure enough, the shorter-stacked player moved all in blind the next hand and was called by most of the table, including Nguyen, until a big stack moved all in to cover. The rest of the players quickly got out of the way and the three hands were tabled.
Player 1: A♥J♦
Will Nguyen: J♥6♥
Player 2: A♠6♠
Player 1 actually woke up with the best hand, but the flop of 8♦6♣3♣ gave both Nguyen and Player 2 a pair of sixes, with the latter holding the superior kicker.
Miraculously, the turn was the J♠ to give Nguyen two pair for the lead and the river 9♠ was a blank to score him the pot along with the bounty for an octuple-up!
