Livingston Turns Up the Heat on Friedman

Level 3

Limit Hold'em

Adam Friedman opened in the cutoff before calling a three-bet from Alex Livingston out of the small blind.

Livingston continued on the AA6 flop with Friedman making the call.

There was no slowing down for Livingston following the 7 turn as he instead pushed another bet into the middle. That was enough to convince Friedman to get out of the way as he conceded a relatively small pot to his opponent.

Hui Chops One Up

Level 3

Omaha Hi-Lo

Picking up the action on the flop, Phil Hui in early position was involved in a hand with both blinds as well as Tom McCormick from under the gun.

With the board reading 78A action checked around to the 10 turn where the blinds and McCormick checked once more. Hui took the opportunity to bet, receiving calls from all three of his opponents.

The small blind led out following the 10 river and managed to force folds from the big blind and McCormick. Hui, however, made the call with 5442 and chopped up the pot with his opponent, who held AQ107.

Koral, Eveslage Both Profit

Level 2

Omaha Hi-Lo

A player opened from early position and was called by Chad Eveslage on the button as well as Tom Koral in the big blind.

Action checked to Eveslage on the 497 flop and he tossed out a bet. Both Koral and the early position player flatted.

Koral took over the betting lead following the J turn. As before, the early position player called and Eveslage too opted to remain in the hand.

Eveslage bet after Koral and the early position player checked the 5 river. Neither opponent was going anywhere and Eveslage and Koral ended up splitting the profit at showdown with Eveslage taking the low with A662 while Koral took the high with AAJ9.

David Benyamine
David Benyamine

Omaha Hi-Lo

Picking up the action on the flop, David Benyamine in the big blind was involved in a hand with Allen Kessler in the cutoff and a player on the button.

With the board reading AJ10, Benyamine checked and Kessler bet. The button player called, as did Benyamine to keep action three-handed heading to the turn.

All three players checked through the Q turn to the 8 river at which point Benyamine led out. Kessler and the button player called with Benyamine subsequently turning over KJ108 for the turned royal flush. The button player took the low holding Q652 while Kessler, who had flopped a set of aces, was left on the outside looking in.

Madsen Has Kicker Problems

Level 1

Limit Hold’em

Jeff Madsen raised from middle position and was three-bet by Chad Eveslage in the hijack. Action folded back around to Madsen, who called.

Madsen check-called a bet from Eveslage on the 10KJ flop and then bet himself on the 6 turn. Eveslage called.

The 6 completed the board and Eveslage called another bet from Madsen, who turned over K9 for kings with a nine kicker. Eveslage tabled KQ for kings with a queen kicker was collected the pot.

Daniel Negreanu: XxXx/10K9 folded fifth street
Jeff Madsen: XxXx/67K folded fifth street

Scott Seiver, fresh off wining his second bracelet of the summer in Event #40: $1,500 Razz, has hopped into the mix in this tournament and will be looking to extend his lead atop the WSOP POY leaderboard.

Daniel Negreanu opened and was called by Scott Seiver and Jeff Madsen.

All three players checked through to fifth street, at which point Seiver led out. That bet alone was enough to convince Negreanu and Madsen to get out of the way to send an early pot Seiver's way.
