Daniel Negreanu Runs into Aces Twice to Bust Two Bullets in WSOP $100k High Roller

Daniel Negreanu is not running well at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP), and things got even worse for the poker legend on Tuesday in Event #47: $100,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em.

The six-figure buy-in tournament attracted 95 entrants on Day 1, with registration still open entering Wednesday's Day 2 session. At the end of play, Henrik Hecklen bagged the largest stack, while Nick Petrangelo, Jared Bleznick, and Jeremy Ausmus were among the 44 who made it through the session with chips.

Song Steals One from Zarco

Yunkyu Song raised to 160,000 from middle position and Javier Zarco called on the button.

Song continued for 120,000 on the A105 flop and Zarco called.

The A turn saw Song fire again, this time for 320,000. Zarco quickly pitched his cards into the muck.

Kingery Takes from Saliba

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Edgard Saliba opened to 160,000 and then Jared Kingery three-bet to 450,000. Action folded back to Saliba who thought about it for a few seconds before he made the call.

The flop came out J36 and both players checked through to the turn Q.

Saliba checked again but Kingery tossed out a bet of 400,000. After a lengthy staredown, Saliba slid in his cards and the pot was pushed to Kingery.

Nedelcu Gets Value

Yunkyu Song limped in from the small blind and Narcis Nedelcu checked his option in the big blind.

Song took the lead for 110,000 on the K69 flop. Nedelcu called.

The 5 turn slowed down Song as he elected to check-call a bet of 175,000, from Nedelcu.

The 10 river saw a repeat of the action, this time Nedelcu sized up to 405,000. Nedelcu tabled 109 for two pair, winning him this pot.

Juan Carlos Vecino opened to 160,000 from the hijack and action folded to Michael Berk in the big blind who three-bet to 615,000.

The action was then on Huihan Wu in the big blind who sat there for a good while before he announced he was all in, which resulted in a quick fold from Vecino.

"Good luck," Berk said as he quickly made the call to produce a massive pot.

Berk looked up at the ceiling and shook his head in disgust at the cooler, and the runout of 855K4 secured the win for Wu.

After the official count, it was discovered that Wu covered Berk by a bare 15,000 to send him to the rail in 16th place.
