Deeb Loses a Big One on the Last Hand Before the Break
No-Limit Hold‘em
Shaun Deeb was not in a good mood going into the 15-minute break after losing a massive pot of around 1,500,000 chips to Peter Nghia Le.
The game was No-Limit Hold‘em and Deeb opened from under the gun to 25,000. Action folded to Le on the button, who three-bet to 85,000. Deeb then put in a fourth bet for 210,000. Le called.
They saw a flop of 6♣3♣6♠. Deeb checked and Le checked behind.
The turn was the 4♥. Deeb checked again and Le bet 130,000. Deeb called.
They then went to the 10♦ river. Deeb checked for the third time. Le now bet all in, which was for 377,000 chips. Deeb thought for a some time, while other players had already cleared the tournament area. He then grabbed a stack of his chips and put in a call.
Le quickly informed Deeb he had aces and showed A♥A♠. Deeb showed he had the off-suit AxKx.
