Farid Jattin raised to 420,000 under the gun and was called by Nitesh Rawtani in the small blind and the short-stacked John Fauver in the big blind.
The action then checked to Jattin on the 2♣10♦Q♠ flop, and he bet 620,000. Rawtani quickly got out of the way but Fauve committed his 220,000 remaining chips to be at risk.
John Fauver: A♥K♦J♣9♣4♣
Farid Jattin: A♣10♥8♥7♠5♣
Fauver had flopped a full wrap, and it came in on the 9♠ turn. The A♠ river upgraded him to Broadway and he raked in the pot to be back up to a stack of roughly 15 big blinds.
Farid Jattin raised his button to 400,000 and Nitesh Rawtani defended his big blind. Rawtani then check-called a bet of 270,000 on the A♣K♥Q♠ flop before both players checked on the 2♥4♦ runout.
Rawtani tabled A♦K♦9♦7♥3♥ for top two pair and a seven-low and raked in the pot.
Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.
In the seventh episode, Connor speaks with World Series of Poker (WSOP) commentator Norman Chad, one of the most recognizable voices in poker who has provided color commentary on poker's biggest stage for over 20 years.
Chad talks about getting his start as a sports writer in college, his decades-long syndicated sports humor column for the Washington Post and being asked to commentate on the 2003 WSOP Main Event that sparked the Poker Boom.
Chad also discusses the state of poker broadcasting today, the need for more color commentary in the booth, and the need for more interesting characters on the felt.
Farid Jattin raised to 300,000 in the small blind and big blind Calvin Anderson defended. Jattin continued for 185,000 chips on the 6♠6♥A♠ flop and Anderson called.
Jattin sized up to 315,000 on the Q♠ turn and received another call before the Q♦ river completed the board.
Jattin slid forward 485,000 chips to complete his triple barrel. Anderson took some moments to think it over but ultimately stuck in a call.
Jattin tabled K♠J♦6♦5♦2♠ for a flush and Anderson's cards hit the muck as he did not beat that.
John Fauver called in the cutoff and Farid Jattin called on the button. In the small blind, Calvin Anderson raised to 500,000 which both Fauver and Jattin called.
The flop rolled out 6♦J♥A♠ and Anderson bet 1,600,000 which saw Fauver call for his last 155,000 and Jattin folded.
John Fauver: K♣Q♦J♦10♣6♣
Calvin Anderson: A♥K♦9♥6♥3♦
The board ran out J♠K♠ and Fauver ran out jacks full of kings to more than double at the expense of Anderson and Jattin.
