Avina Wins Last Hand Before the Break

Level 33

Omaha Hi-Lo

In a limped pot, Christian Gonzalez check-called bets from David Avina on the K94 flop and 9 turn and the river 7 completed the board.

Gonzalez checked and Avina bet, sending Gonzalez into the tank on the last hand before the break.

"It's just five purple chips," said Avina.

"Is that all it is?" replied Gonzalez. "Nice hand," he said before calling.

Avina tabled Q966 for trip nines and took down the pot.

Avina Doubles Through Mayoh

Level 33

Stud Hi-Lo

Earlier, Christian Gonzalez brought in with a three and it folded back around to him, giving him a walk, before he revealed that he had been rolled up.

David Avina: 99 / 9K64 / Xx
Daniel Mayoh: 64 / A658 / Xx

Christian Gonzalez again brought in with a three, and David Avina completed. Daniel Mayoh raised and Gonzalez folded.

Avina re-raised and got his last chips in with rolled up nines.

"We just need to hope he doesn't make a low," Avina told his rail, but Mayoh made his eight-six low on sixth street.

He even had a chance to scoop, if he hit a seven for a straight, but Mayoh could only pull a K as Avina received the 8 and doubled up.
