Pei Li Close to the Top on Day 2 of Event #34: $2,500 No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout
Out of the 1,267 players that entered Event #34: 2,500 No-Limit Hold’em Freezout, 191 are set to return for Day 2. On Day 1, play went on until the bubble burst during level 18, when Matt Glantz got the unlucky honor of being the bubble boy with his elimination in 192th place.
All remaining players will share the $2,819,075 total prize pool and get to return to Day 2 with a shot at the $439,395 first prize and the coveted golden bracelet.
Joshua Wang is the chip leader with 1,086,000 chips or 109 big blinds, the only player to cross the million mark and 100 big blinds. He is followed by bracelet winner Pei Li with 840,000 chips and Boris Angelov, who has 750,000.
Kristen Foxen made a late surge on Day 1 to get up to 739,000 chips, the fourth biggest remaining stack. She will get a chance to go for her fifth bracelet, winning the last one in a $2,500 buy-in online event in 2020. Foxen is also a $25k Fantasy Draft pick for Team NGNF.
Two other players from the $25k Fantasy Draft are also in the top ten, six-time bracelet winner Josh Arieh, who’s coming in with the sixth biggest stack at 710,000, and Josh Reichard with 684,000 for the ninth position.

Play will resume at noon local time on June 13 at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, continuing at Level 18 with 5,000/10,000 blinds and a 10,000 ante. Play will go on for ten 60-minute levels, with 15-minute breaks every two levels. A one-hour dinner break will take place at approximately 6:30 p.m. local time.
