Aces No Good for Negreanu

Level 14 : Limits 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Marco Johnson raised from the small blind and Daniel Negreanu responded with a three-bet in the big blind. Johnson called to send the action to the flop.

Johnson check-called a bet from Negreanu on the 103J flop.

Both players checked through the 8 turn to the 6 river at which point Johnson bet. Negreanu called holding AA but came in second to the J10 of Johnson.

"It could've been worse" remarked Negreanu, "but clubs saved me." Despite losing less than he might have otherwise, Negreanu was still left short following the hand.
