Poker legend Erik Seidel had a brutal exit from his latest 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) event, losing to a one-outer on the river deep in the tournament.

The hand, which should qualify as the WSOP Hand of the Day, took place on Thursday in Event #16: $5,000 8-Handed No-Limit Hold'em with 21 players remaining out of the original 823. And it was captured during the PokerGO livestream and by PokerNews live reporter Herbie Teope.

Chad Eveslage opened from middle position before Louis Hillman three-bet out of the big blind. Eveslage responded with a four-bet and Hillman pushed his remaining chips, as well as a Luigi racecar figurine, into the middle to put himself at risk.

Louis Hillman: AK All in
Chad Eveslage: 99

It was a race but one that Hillman and Luigi were not able to win as the board ran out Q104Q6 to bring the tournament down to the final ten players while sending Hillman to the rail in 11th place.

Kelsall Feels the Pain

Level 18 : Limits 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Andrew Kelsall opened from the cutoff and action folded to Chad Eveslage in the big blind, who defended.

Eveslage went for a check-raise on the 1038 flop. Kelsall, undeterred, called.

The 2 rolled off the deck on the turn and Eveslage continued his aggression with a bet. Kelsall responded with a raise, which Eveslage called.

Both players checked on the A river. "Two pair" announced Eveslage as he flipped over Ax2x. That did not sit well with Kesall, who presumably was stronger than a pair of deuces.
