Aldridge Gets a Little Boost

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Ken Aldridge
Ken Aldridge

In a four-way limped pot to the J83 flop, the small blind checked, as did Ken Aldridge from the big blind. The under-the-gun player and the hijack were also in the hand and checked.

Action checked to the hijack on the 4 turn, and he bet 1,500. Only the blinds called.

The 10 river then checked through to showdown.

The hijack tabled his hand first, showing A963 for an eight-six low. Aldridge tabled KJ82 for jacks and eights. The small blind couldn't beat either hand and mucked, for the the hijack and Aldridge to chop the pot.

A Force to be Reckoned With?

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

James Woods raised to 1,600 from under the gun and was called by Leif Force on his direct left. Action folded to Ryan Roeder, and he defended his big blind.

Woods continued for pot (4,800) on the KQ8 flop and was called in both spots.

Action then checked to Force on the 5 turn. He jammed for 18,500 and was called by Roeder, who wasted little time in calling. Woods found himself in a tough spot, saying he would need some time over his decision while lamenting that the board contained two flush draws. He ended up folding and the cards went on their backs.

Leif Force: KQQ7 All in
Ryan Roeder: A854

The J river denied Roeder any chance of taking the low half of the pot. Force improved to a flush and scooped.

Nut Nut for Gilbert
