Daniel Palau Leads the Final 17, Chih Fan Follows Close Behind
Play has concluded on Day 2 of Event #12: $1,500 No-Limit 6-Handed at the 2024 World Series of Poker at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
Daniel Palau bagged the overnight chip lead with 6,790,000, but will have no easy path to victory as he is closely followed Chih Fan (6,765,000). Both will be gunning to win their first WSOP bracelet when the tournament plays to a winner.
Palau has locked in the fifth WSOP cash of his career and needs to last four more places to register his deepest run. At last year's WSOP, the Spaniard finished in 14th place in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em event and captured a career-best $32,264 payout.
There were 197 returning players who started the day, but when the dust settled after ten 60-minute levels, only 17 players were able to find a bag for the final day. Those returning for Day 3 will battle it out for the remainder of the $3,372,210 prize pool with $439,815 and a coveted WSOP gold bracelet reserved for the eventual champion.

Day 3 resumes at 12 p.m. local time on June 5 and the event will play down to an eventual winner. The players sit down with the structure having reached Level 28, meaning the blinds are 50,000/100,000 plus a 100,000 big blind ante.
