Back to Back Victories for Russell

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Michael Russell won two pots in a row. Russell raised from the cutoff to 85,000 and Jeremy Joseph called in the big blind. The flop came out as 58A and Russell placed the continuation bet of 200,000. Joseph folded. Russell flipped over his cards 88 and stated, "Just so you know, I'm not trying to buy it."

In the second hand Michael Miller raised to 80,000 from under the gun and Russell called from the hijack. This time the board ran out as 7Q8 and both players checked and checked again on the turn J.

When the river K hit, Miller bet out 85,000 and Russell made the call. Miller held 44 and Russell had 55. The table praised Russell for the good call with the small pair which had Miller slightly beat.
