Chris Moneymaker is giving it another try, opening a poker room in Kentucky, this time in Louisville.
Moneymaker Social Louisville opened Saturday, becoming the second operating brick-and-mortar card room in the state. The other one, a slightly bigger room, is located just down the street, about 15-20 minutes from the University of Louisville campus.
Opening night "went well," poker room manager Christine Russell told PokerNews. As with any new business, there "were some kinks to work out." But as Russell said, players were impressed with the initial experience.
The players have taken their seats at the Feature Table and there will be a slight delay before the stream goes live at 5:00 p.m. local time on PokerGO.

John Henry Gordon opened to 450,000 and Anthony Marquez took some time checking on the other table before raising almost all of remaining stack. Gordon then moved all in, with Marquez making the call.

"You got me again," said Marquez as he saw Gordon's pocket pair. The 6♦5♥8♦2♠4♥ runout left Gordon in front, as Marquez bowed out in eighth place.
John Henry Gordon raised to 400,000 on the button before Anthony Marquez made it 1,200,000 in the small blind. Action folded back to Gordon, who announced all in.
Marquez made the quick call and the two chip leaders turned up their cards.

Marquez found a single king and no more on the Q♣K♥8♠4♦9♦ runout, sending most of his chips to the left while keeping just four big blinds. Gordon held with aces to take a massive chip lead.
Francisco Vazquez committed most of stack by raising to 1,200,000 in the cutoff before Mark Dube moved all in from the big blind. Vazquez made the call and the hands were turned up.
