Second-Ever Badugi Bracelet Event Gets Underway at 2 PM

Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2024 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.

Today sees the start of Event #11: $1,500 Badugi here at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas.

This three-day event gets underway at 2 p.m. local time with late registration open for nine levels. There will be 15-minute breaks every three levels, with no dinner break scheduled on Day 1.

The starting stack is 25,000 chips with the plan for Day 1 to play 15 levels. Day 2 resumes at 1 p.m. where levels increase to 60 minutes.

Last year's event was the very first Badugi bracelet event and saw 516 players generate a prize pool of $688,860. The winner was Michael Rodrigues who defeated Yingui Li heads-up. Rodrigues took home $144,678 and his first WSOP bracelet.
