Fleischer Survives a Massive Flip
Nenad Dukic raised to 85,000 under the gun, and Terry Fleischer called in middle position. Michael Acevedo then three-bet to 435,000 in the big blind and Dukic snap-folded.
Fleischer, though, moved all in for 2,085,000. "You're probably the only player that would get me to think with the hand I have," Acevedo told Fleischer as he stood up and leaned over the table.
"This guy's won more Venetians than you've played tournaments," Chris Hunichen added. Acevedo eventually called, creating a massive pot with more than 4,000,000 in the middle.
Terry Fleischer: 10♦10♠
Michael Acevedo: A♦K♦
"You guys are so sick," Hunichen said when the cards were revealed. The flop came 2♦7♥Q♠, and Acevedo began calling for another diamond, but he didn't get his wish on the 9♠ turn.
The river was the 5♠, and Fleischer held on to earn the double up into the tournament chip lead.
"How do you just jam with tens there?" Acevedo wondered.
"Have you met this guy?" Christina Gollins replied from the other table.
"I should've used my one time," Acevedo added as he put back on his hoodie and headphones and sat back down to a much-reduced stack.
