Distefano Loses Flip to Double Short Stack

Level 26 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 1,250 ante

Vito "thesuitbig29" Distefano opened to 20,000 from middle position and "Crusherr" went all-in from the hijack for their remaining 90,830 chips. All other players got out of the way and Distefano quickly called to put his opponent at risk.

Vito Distefano: QQ

It was a classic tournament flip, with "Crusherr" coming out ahead on the 46A flop. Distefano did not receive any help on the 2 turn and J river and "Crusherr" secured the double up.

Despite the setback, Distefano still holds a commanding lead over most of the field with one of the top 3 chip stacks in play.

"Donkeynutter" doubles through Matakis

Level 24 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 750 ante

Kyle "STLBLUES07" Dilschneider opened the action with a raise to 16,125 from under the gun. Action folded around to Ian "IanMa" Matakis on the button who went all-in, covering all remaining players. "Donkeynutter" called off his remaining 65,547 from the small blind. Both the big blind and Dilschneider got out of the way leaving the players heads up.

Ian "IanMa" Matakis QQ

Matakis was well ahead with his higher pocket pair and the 268 flop did nothing to change that. His fortunes were reversed on the 10 turn and the 8 river was inconsequential, allowing "Donkeynutter" to scoop a decent pot with a turned set.

Alfa Avoids Elimination, Moon Bursts Bubble

Level 24 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 750 ante

Dave "Crispr" Alfa raised from early position to 25,768, one chip short of going all in. Edward "Kimura" Leonard then went all in, and Alfa called with his last chip.

Alfa: AQ
Leonard: AQ

Fortunately for Alfa, a chop seemed likely. The board came out J87910, and the players chopped the pot with a straight.

Elsewhere, Michael "lbird33" Moon was eliminated in 241st place, bursting the bubble. All remaining players will receive a minimum of $952.20.

"armNhammer" doubles through Bell

Level 23 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 625 ante

Action began with Cody "1eggadayMike" Bell opening to 10,000 from early position. "armNhammer" then three-bet to 36,235 from middle position, leaving only a single big blind behind. Bell made the call.

On the 749 flop Bell moved all in for his opponents remaining 5000. "armNhammer" made the call and was at risk.

Cody Bell: K10

"armNhammer" was well ahead with his overpair. The 6 turn and Q river changed nothing and "armNhammer" secured a crucial double up with the bubble approaching.
