Yaroslav Ohulchanskyi opened to 300,000 from under the gun before Ping Liu moved all in for 1,050,000 in middle position. Daniel Holzner then re-jammed for 5,425,000 on the button and, after asking for a count, Ohulchanskyi got out of the way.

Liu was in bad shape with his tournament life on the line and could find no help on either the K♦K♠6♠ flop or Q♣ turn. The 8♣ river, however, was gin and saved Liu from elimination while leaving Holzner with a dejected demeanor.

Three-handed on a flop of 4♦9♣3♦, Raj Vohra bet 500,000 from the cutoff and Matthew Wantman raised to 1,400,000 on the button. Vohra then moved all in and Wantman called for his last 3,500,000.

Both players had top pair, but Wantman was ahead with his ace-kicker. The board ran out 8♦2♣ and Wantman doubled up.

Daisuke Goto moved all in for 1,300,000 in early position and it folded to Gabi Livshitz in the small blind who made the call. The big blind quickly folded and the cards were on their backs.

Goto was in need of help to stay alive, but when the board ran out 6♦5♥2♦9♥J♦, it was the ace-queen that held up for Livshitz to take the pot and send Goto to the payout desk in 71st place.

Masato Yokosawa opened to 350,000 from under the gun with Dean Hutchison calling on his immediate left. Spencer Taylor three-bet to 1,050,000 from middle position and only Hutchison called.

The Brit check-called for 1,050,000 on the 10♦7♦6♠ flop before the 7♥ turn and 10♣ checked through to showdown.

Hutchison tabled his J♦J♠ for a pair of jacks and Taylor mucked his hand.

Daniel Vampan opened to 350,000 on the button and Scott Berko defended out of the big blind.

Berko checked on the flop of 2♥7♦K♠ and Vampan continued for 200,000. Berko called. Berko checked again on the 7♠ turn and Vampan checked back.

Berko checked once more on the 9♠ river and Vampan also checked before Berko turned over 3♠2♠ for a rivered flush.

"You got zero more chips in that pot!" Vampan commented.

"Oh well," sighed Berko.

"If you bet 1,000,000 I would have snap called," said Vampan said.

"They all say that, don't they?" replied Berko. "I've heard it all."

Maceiras Gets Big Boost From Fortunate Runout

Juan Maceiras raised to 300,000 from under the gun and was called by Anirban Das before Liran Betito, on the button, three-bet to 1,625,000. Only Maceiras called as Das got out of the way.

Both players checked the K♠2♠10♠ flop and the 8♥ turn before the 7♠ fell on the river. Maceiras then fired out 2,000,000 and Betito snap called.

Maceiras turned over Q♠Q♦ for the flush and Betito flashed A♦A♣ before mucking.

The A♣Q♥4♣ flop checked through to the 7♥ turn. Da Silva bet 1,200,000 and Yokosawa called.

Da Silva opted to check on the J♦ river. He quickly conceded the pot after his opponent moved all in for 3,775,000.

Prydryk was in bad shape but got some help as the flop landed A♥8♥4♥ to give him a flush draw. The 8♠ turn didn't change anything but the 6♥ river sucked the air out of the room as Prydryk made his flush to deliver a tough beat to Kimmel, who kept his composure after losing a chunk of his stack.

Lamanna Does Obregon a Favor, Then Five-Bet Jams on Him

Bryan Obregon opened to 300,000 with A♠A♥ and received calls from Pierpaola Lamanna on the button with K♣J♠ and Cong Pham in the big blind holding 8♦5♠.

The flop came 2♣7♣6♥ and Obregon bet 250,000. Lamanna then raised to 775,000 and Pham folded his straight draw, while Obregon called with his pair of aces.

The 9♦ turn would've given Pham his straight as both players checked. The 3♠ fell on the river and Lamanna folded to a bet of 1,200,000.

A few hands later, Lamanna looked down at K♥K♣ and three-bet to 850,000 from the cutoff after Obregon raised with A♣Q♥.

Obregon then four-bet to 2,100,000 and Lamanna came back with a shove for 9,800,000. Obregon tanked for a minute before mucking.
