Nines Are Good for Teisseire

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

In a four-way pot, it checked to Antonin Teisseire on the button who bet 3,000 on a board K772. Only one player made the call.

The J completed the board on the river and both players checked. Teisseire tabled 99 for two pair with the nines and it was good enough to win the pot as his opponent sent Ax10x into the muck.

Daniels Living His Dream

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Cody Daniels is hard to miss at a poker table with his sparkling diamond hat and goggles. His inspirational story makes him hard to ignore.

Daniels is battling a terminal illness and was bought into the Main Event by M.J. Gonzales and Lexy Gavin-Mather. He'll also get to play in a live, televised cash game later this month.

"I've been obsessed with poker since I was eight years old. This is a dream," Daniels said.

Action was caught after the flop of 10410, and late position led out for 2,100. Czeslaw Szerszen called from the button.

The turn and river came the J6, while both players quickly checked around.

Szerszen revealed KJ to scoop the pot and return close to starting stack for the day.

Big Stack Against Small Stack

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Brandon Mincher has one of the biggest stacks in the Black section, with 265,000 chips. At his table, Kevin Palmer isn't in the same situation at all, as he only has less than 20,000 chips, and it's not getting better.

He started the action by opening to 1,000 in the cutoff. The blinds called, and a 3104 flop landed on the table. Everybody checked this first street to see the Q on the turn.

The small blind checked once again, but Klaus Pautrot decided to take the lead and bet 2,000. Palmer called, and the big blind folded.

On the river 2, Pautrot bet a second time, but increased the size to 4,100. Palmer took some time but eventually folded. He is now down to 13,000 chips.

Three players built a pot of about 40,000 and the flop read K83. The player first to act jammed for about a pot-sized bet of 40,000 and Rui Bouquet called next to act. The third player got out of the way and both hands were tabled.

Rui Bouquet: AA
Opponent: AK

Bouquet's aces were able to hold as the board completed with the 3 turn and the 6 river.

Bentley Goes Big On the River

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

On a board reading 2A96, David Bentley checked to the late position player who tossed out a bet of 7,000. The cutoff folded the action back to Bentley who put in the call to bring the 10 out on the river.

Bentley opted to lead into his opponent this time around and did so by tossing out a single 25,000 chip.

His opponent entered the tank and spent a good few minutes there, seemingly grabbing chips and almost calling at least once.

Eventually, he decided to fold the Ax9x face up on the table to let Bentley know what he was laying down, to which Bentley responded by sliding his cards toward the muck, though he did respond with a "Yes" when his opponent asked if he had hit the diamonds.

Ji Shoves on Sawyers

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Picking up the action on the turn, Min Ji and Jonathan Sawyers were heads-up in a pot with around 8,000 in the middle. The board read 8432 and Ji check-called a bet of 3,700 from Sawyers.

The river was the K and Ji checked once more. Sawyers tossed in a bet of 15,000 and Ji check-raised all in. Sawyers only had 30,000 chips left in front of him and he thought for a couple of minutes but decided to lay his hand down.
