Numoto Wins Race to Send One Out

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

A player in early position raised to 1,300 and Scott Numoto three-bet to 4,000 from the hijack. Action folded back to the initial raiser, who made it 15,000 to go. Numoto instantly put out a stack of chips to put his opponent all in for slightly more and he called off.

Early-position player: AK
Scott Numoto: JJ

It was a coinflip, but the JKQ flop improved Numoto to a set and a commanding lead.

The 6 turn and 3 river kept Numoto best and he collected the rest of his opponent's chips.

Opponent: QQ
Christian Pena: AA

Pena was a huge favorite to win in this spot, and the board of 9J724 ran out clean for him to scoop the pot, eliminating his opponent.

Ferraro Sizes Up and Gets Paid

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

A completed board of JJ26Q was spread out across the felt and Cole Ferraro was heads-up with Michael Krasienko. With around 30,000 in the middle, Ferraro led out with a full pot-sized bet of 30,000 on the river.

Krasienko deliberated for a moment before flicking in the call. Ferraro whipped over AJ for trip jacks and Krasienko sent his cards to the muck.

Pochat's Queens Send Werner Out

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Manuel Pochat raised 1,200 in middle position and both the small blind and Haven Werner called.

The dealer spread a flop of 833, and the small blind and Werner both check-called a continuation bet of 1,400 from Pochat.

When the 4 landed on the turn, the action checked to Pochat once again and he fired 5,200. The small blind check-folded and Werner jammed for about 13,200. Pochat snap-called.

Haven Werner: 98
Manuel Pochat: QQ

Werner ran into Pochat's overpair and couldn't catch up as the 6 completed the board on the river.

Lepisto Doubles Through Kalisek

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

After he took most of Johan Guilbert's chips thanks to a full house, Giuseppe Galluzzo opened from early position to 1,100. Clayton Kalisek in the cutoff called, as well as Paul Lepisto on the button and the big blind.

On 10A5, the big blind and Galluzzo checked to Kalisek, who bet 2,000. Seated on his left, Lepisto raised all in for his last 5,300 chips. All the other players folded, and Kalisek called.

Paul Lepisto: AK
Clayton Kalisek: A3

Far behind, Kalisek found four outs after the turn 4 which opened a straight draw. But the river was the 10, and Lepisto doubled up.

Coppens Takes a Hit From Pochat, Recovers Quickly

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Haven Werner raised to 1,500 from under the gun, which was reraised to 3,600 by Manuel Pochat in middle position. Jen Coppens, two seats to his left, called, as did Werner.

The flop fell K26. Werner and Pochat checked and Coppens bet 5,050. Werner folded but Pochat came along for the ride.

Pochat checked the Q turn and Coppens bet again, for 8,000. Pochat called once more. The river came the 7 and was checked by both players. Coppens showed AxKx but Pochat tabled QQ to take the pot.

A few hands later, Coppens was involved again — check-calling from under the gun, on a flop of 94A. Coppens checked again on a turn of 7 and called a bet of 4,000.

The river came the K. Coppens bet out 5,000, got the call and tabled A9, which was good enough to take the pot.

Tsai Catches a Six

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Andy Tsai
Andy Tsai

The player in the cutoff raised to 1,200 and Andy Tsai, commonly known as Andy Stacks, three-bet to 3,300 on the button. Action folded back to the initial raiser and he called.

The cutoff check-called a 3,000 bet from Tsai on the QQ4 flop and then both players checked down on the 6 turn and K river.

Tsai's opponent tabled A10, which was no good against Tsai's A6 and the high-stakes cash game pro dragged the pot.

At another table, Lexy Gavin-Mathers busted out after nursing a short stack through most of the day.

Steinberg Raises the River

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Dietrich Fast and Max Steinberg had arrived on the river in a modest pot of 4,100 chips. Fast led out for 3,000 from the small blind and Steinberg raised to 12,000.

This sent Fast into a long tank, squeezing his pillow and reciting some hands that his opponent could have.

Eventually, he made the call and got shown 55 by Steinberg for a flopped set. Fast nodded and gave his chips so Steinberg, who went above starting stack by winning this pot.
