Taylor Doesn't Show

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Tony Gregg opened from the cutoff and Esther Taylor called on the button.

Gregg checked on the flop of 76J and Taylor bet 700. Gregg called. Gregg checked again on the 3 turn and Taylor checked back.

Gregg checked once more on the 7 river and Taylor fired a bet of 1,700. Gregg gave it some thought and called. Taylor shot her cards into the muck and Gregg was able to take the pot without showdown.

"I don't want to make you show ace-high," laughed Taylor.

Kostyniuk Cracks Sheikhan's Set

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Four players saw a flop of A63 and Jeffrey Kostyniuk checked to Shawn Sheikhan who fired a bet of 2,200. Both the players in the middle got out of the way and Krostyniuk made the call.

The 8 hit the turn and Kostyniuk check-called a bet of 3,200.

On the K river, both players tapped the table. Kostyniuk wasted no time showing his AJ, rivering a flush. Sheikhan sighed as he cried, "That's so F***ing sick," and showed 88 for a set of eights on the turn that rivered a smaller flush.

Lu Is Afraid, But Need Not Be

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

In an already sizable pot, Steve Lu had put a bet of 7,000 out from the cutoff on a board of 3Q45, which Shota Nakanishi had raised to 20,000. "Just call," announced Lu.

The river fell the A and both players checked to a showdown. Nakanishi tabled 54 for two pair, but Lu was sitting on top set with QQ.

"I was scared you had seven-six," Lu explained while he stacked his newly acquired chips.

Mueller Makes Jellie Fold On The River

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Noah Jellie limped in early position, then was raised to 1,100 by Brandon Mueller in middle position. All the other players at the table folded, and Jellie called.

On the flop 23A, Mueller bet 700, and Jellie check-called. He did the same action when Mueller added 1,400 more to the pot on the turn 7.

But on the river 10, Jellie took the lead and bet 5,600. A few seconds later, Mueller raised to 15,200. Quite annoyed, Jellie eventually folded.

Gold "Running Too Good"

Jamie Gold
Jamie Gold

The player in the cutoff raised to 800 and was called by the player in the small blind and Jamie Gold in the big blind.

Action checked to the preflop raiser on the QJK flop and he bet 1,000. The small blind called and Gold then check-raised to 3,300. The cutoff folded, as did the small blind after a bit of thought.

"Save your money, save your money," Gold said as he turned over the 109 for a flopped straight. "I'm running too good."
