A little bit of sweat appeared on both players' forehead as they went all-in within the first 10 minutes of the Main Event. But not much as both had the best full house possible, and split the pot.

Action folded around to the blinds, where Doug Polk raised to 600 from the small blind. Mike Smith quickly went all in for his last 6,200 from the big blind and Polk called to put Smith at risk.

Mike Smith: JJ
Doug Polk: QQ

Polk was in great shape to end Smith's Main Event early, but the 667AJ runout drilled Smith's two-outer on the river — awarding him the double up.

"This is how it begins," Polk said with a wry smile.

Cold Four-Bet & Three Calls at Table 650

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

There was quite a bit of preflop action at Table 650 as the under-the-gun player opened to 400 and the player to his left three-bet to 1,200. Asako Kitamura then four-bet to 2,500 from the next seat and the small blind called for 1,200 without realizing there had been another raise. He then called the additional 1,300 as both other players also called.

The flop of 4Q7 checked through and action checked to Kitamura on the 2 turn as she bet 10,000. One by one, her opponents folded.

"Check flop, overbet turn?" one of them said in confusion.
