Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Avdic McIntire "Finally" Gets Lucky and Scores First Level Knockout

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Taylor von Kriegenbergh, Gianna Avdic McIntire, and a player in the big blind were battling over a pot of 3,000 on a board of 432. The big blind and Von Kriegenbergh already had 6,000 chips in front of them when Avdic McIntire raised it up to 16,000.

The player in the big blind then promptly jammed all in for 39,800.

"I may make a bad fold," Von Kriegenbergh stated before passing his cards to the dealer.

Avdic McIntire then made the call, covering her opponent.

Big Blind: 32
Gianna Avdic McIntire: QQ

"Oh, I definitely made a bad fold," said Von Kriegenbergh after seeing the cards.

The big blind looked slated for a double-up when the turn came the 8, but the Q river gave Avdic McIntire a miraculous top set, locking up the huge pot.

Von Kriegenbergh jumped out of his chair in an elated fashion, tabling his 44 that were still face down on the table. "Finally, I get lucky," Avdic McIntre uttered while stacking her many new chips.

Meanwhile, it was the big blind who left the table defeated as he was one of the first eliminations of the 2023 WSOP Main Event.
