Hunichen Faces Tough River Decision

Chris Hunichen was in a heads up pot against Kory Kilpatrick. The board read 8♣6♥K♥Q♦ and there were 11,000 chips to be fought over. Hunichen checked from the big blind before Kilpatrick bet out 6,700 chips. Hunichen made the call and the 10♦ river graced the felt.
Hunichen checked again and Kilpatrick went all-in for his last 30,000 chips. Hunichen tanked for a few minutes, thinking out loud in the process.
"Did you get there on the river?" Hunichen asked. "I have a good hand," he continued. Eventually, he put in the call and Kilpatrick showed down K♦K♣ for top set.
"Oh, you already had it," Hunichen concluded, as he showed his Q♠8♦ for two pair.
