Newhouse Still Has Hopes of Another Deep Run

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Daniel Custodio, Mark Newhouse, and Jesse Rosen went three-ways to a flop of 345. With around 4,300 chips in the middle, Custodio led out from the big blind for 1,500. Newhouse raised to 5,000 from under the gun before Rosen three-bet to 12,200 from the hijack.

Custodio quickly got out of the way, but Newhouse committed his entire stack of 39,000. Rosen snap called and a showdown was had.

Mark Newhouse: A10
Jesse Rosen: 55

Newhouse had a combo draw to the nut flush and a wheel, while Rosen was sitting on top set. The K turn saw Newhouse hit his flush, and the board remained free of pairs when the 8 river completed the hand.

Newhouse doubled up in his efforts to finally better his back-to-back ninth-place finishes in 2013 and 2014.
