Lanza Fades the Lion's Roar

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Daniel Cates raised it up from the hijack and picked up two callers including Marcelo Lanza in the big blind. The flop came J106 and the action checked around to the 8 on the turn.

Lanza led out with a bet of 2,300 and Cates raised to 8,500, forcing the button to fold. Lanza jammed all in for 14,200 and Cates snapped him off.

Marcelo Lanza: J8
Daniel Cates: KQ

Lanza had two pair but needed to fade the world with Cates having a combo draw. The river was the 7 and Cates missed everything as he sent over a double up.
