Carr was in the hijack and heads-up against an opponent under the gun on a board of 3♦J♦Q♣8♣. The under-the-gun player bet 2,700 and Carr came back with a raise to 5,900.
His opponent called to the 7♠ river, where Carr fired out 17,500. The under-the-gun player tanked for about a minute before folding his hand as Carr showed 10♣9♣ for the straight.
"I had a really strong hand," his opponent told him.
