Blumstein Joins The Fray

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

The 2017 Main Event winner Scott Blumstein was three-ways on a J62 flop from under the gun. The player in the big blind checked to him and Blumstein checked as well. The third player in early position bet 1,200 and only Blumstein called.

Both players checked on the 5 turn, but then Blumstein bet a paltry 700 on the 2 river. It was enough to get a fold, however, and Blumstein chipped up.

Counting Blumstein, there are currently five former Main Event champions in the field including Ryan Riess (2013), Joe McKeehen (2015), Koray Aldemir (2021), and Espen Jorstad (2022).
