Botfeld Grabs Chip Lead in Gold Section

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Amanda Botfeld
Amanda Botfeld

Erich Gmur and Amanda Botfeld had reached the turn on 10762. The pot already amounted to 17,000 when Gmur added another 6,000 to that from early position. Botfield was sitting in the next seat over and made it 20,000 to go.

This sent Gmur into a tank of several minutes, eventually coming up with a call. The river then fell the 5 and both players quickly checked.

Gmur was first to show and tabled 109, but Botfeld had him outkicked with J10.

"I wanted you to fold!" Botfeld exclaimed in a relieved manner. She grabbed the chip lead in her section of the Horseshoe Convention Center as Day 1b cruises along.
