The Lyons Downard Spiral

Level 29 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Pat Lyons was left steaming after Josh Reichard called a bet of just under a million with bottom pair. Lyons then told the table they'd be luck if he didn't make final table, because that was when his prowess would kick into full action.

Just after that Lyons played a pot against Alex Keating where they saw a flop of 2910. Both players checked and the 5 peeled.

This time Keating led for 500,000 and was quickly called by Lyons, bringing the J. Keating checked the river and now Lyon's placed a bet of 900,000; similarly sized to the hand he was caught bluffing earlier. Keating thought a while, saying it was a bad river for his hand but eventually made the call.

Lyons quickly tabled the AQ for just ace high and Keating turned over Q9 to scoop the pot with a pair of nines.
