Liberto Goes Big

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Justin Liberto opened to 20,000 from the cutoff and was called by Tobias Schwecht on the button. Andre Marques then three-bet to 110,000 out of the big blind, receiving a call from Liberto and a fold from Schwecht.

Marques continued for 50,000 on the 2J5 flop and was called by Liberto.

There was no slowing down for Marques following the 7 turn as he pushed a bet of 110,000 into the middle. As on the previous street, Liberto flatted.

Marques opted to check once the K river completed the board. Liberto was not prepared to go to a cheap showdown, instead going big with a bet of 560,000. That sent Marques deep into the tank as he took several minutes to make a decision. Eventually, he chose to lay down his hand to concede the sizable pot to Liberto and put a dent in his own stack.
