Battenfield Battles for a Double
On a three-way flop of A♦7♥5♣, the first player bet 18,000 and was called by Rellie Sigua and Christopher Battenfield.
But when the turn came the 8♣, somehow all the chips got into the middle between Sigua and Battenfield while the other player quickly got out of the way. The cards were then tabled in this big pot, with Segua barely covering.
Sigua proudly flipped over A♣7♣ for a monster two-pair and the nut flush draw but it was still currently in second place versus Battenfield's 6♣9♣ for a turned straight. Battenfield also held two clubs that blocked Sigua's flush draw as an added bonus.
The river came the brick Q♠ for Battenfield to scoop the pot for a big double while Sigua was left with only 18,000 and wound up busting a few hands later.
