John Riordan
John Riordan

At the same time Phil Hellmuth was being knocked out on one of the other tables, John Riordan was all in for 960,000 from the small blind and up against Leonid Yanovski on the button .

Riordan had A4x but was dominated by Yanovski's A8. The board ran out 56A107 and Yanovski's eight-kicker played to send Riordan to the rail.

Phil Hellmuth Eliminated in 19th Place ($13,628)

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

The last Hall of Famer in the field has fallen.

Phil Hellmuth moved all in from the button for his last 615,000 and was called by Josh Palmer in the big blind.

Phil Hellmuth: 88
Josh Palmer: AJ

Hellmuth would need to win the flip in order to survive, but the 363 flop provided Palmer additional outs to eliminate the 17-time bracelet winner.

The 4 turn left both hands unchanged, but Palmer would get lucky and spike a diamond on the 2 river, completing the flush and sending the "Poker Brat" to the payout desk.

In typical Hellmuth fashion, he was gracious in defeat and handed Palmer over the bounty slip worth $2,007.

David McGowan moved all in for around 500,000 from middle position as Leonid Yanovski snap called in the big blind.

David McGowan: 66
Leonid Yanovski: JJ

Harmon Frustrates Hellmuth Before Dinner

Level 26 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Wayne Harmon
Wayne Harmon

On the last hand before the dinner break, Wayne Harmon bet 120,000 from the cutoff and Phil Hellmuth called on the button.

Both players checked the monotone board of AK2 and the 6 came on the turn putting a fourth heart on the board. Harmon bet 65,000 and Hellmuth clicked back for 150,000. Harmon immediately responded with a raise to 310,000 leading Hellmuth to go on a trademarked foul-mouthed tirade.

Harmon kept his cool during Hellmuth's rant and was smiling throughout the theatrics by the "Poker Brat". Eventually, Hellmuth folded and Harmon spoke to PokerNews after the hand and declared "I had no heart, but I had all the heart!" while thumping his chest.
