Vieira Will Not See The End Of Day 1

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

Action was caught when Alejandro Lococo found himself in a tough spot after Joao Vieira bet 325,000 on the river.

According to "PapoMC after the hand, he opened preflop from middle position, and Vieira called in the cutoff.

On the flop 33A and the turn 10, Lococo fired out two barrels, and both times, Vieira called. Then, on the river 9, Lococo checked, and Vieira bet almost his entire stack, as he kept only 12,000 chips in his hands.

Lococo took a full minute to make his decision, and he eventually called with AK for two pairs. It turned out to be the right move as Vieira had 88 for two lower pairs.

On the very next hand, Lococo flipped his cards again, but this time it was preflop after he called Matthias Eibinger's stack, which was approximately 370,000 chips.

Matthias Eibinger: KJ
Alejandro Lococo: A9

The board showed 53K74, and Eibinger hit a pair of kings, doubling up.

Right after, Eibinger was the one who called Vieira's very small stack.

Joao Vieira: Q7
Matthias Eibinger: AQ

On the board 9106A4, Vieira couldn't do much to stay in the tournament. He'll have to use his single reentry to win this event a second time.
